Centric is looking for a System Administrator

Centric is seeking a technically driven System Administrator with solid experience in UNIX and Linux environments for an assignment at Saab in Karlskoga. You are a communicative and collaborative team player who enjoys interacting both internally and externally. Responsibilities

In the role of System Administrator, you will systematically work to develop solutions, concepts, and ideas to drive improvement and innovation within your area of responsibility. Your tasks will include both daily operations and long-term development of systems and infrastructure.

You will be responsible for patching and updates, troubleshooting systems, version updates, and technology evaluations to ensure stable and secure operations. Issue management will also be part of your daily routine, where you will be responsible for resolving incidents and handling orders.

As part of a larger team of system administrators within Saab Group IT in Sweden, you will collaborate with colleagues to optimize and improve the IT environment. The role involves varied work where you can contribute your expertise and develop within advanced system management.

Your profile and qualifications

Requirements:

• Relevant higher education or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of experience in UNIX-LINUX operations
• Very good experience working with Redhat and Centos
• Previous experience setting up new development environments containing the above products/technologies
• Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English

It is a merit if you have previously worked with:

• System hardening
• Scripting (Bash, Python, or Perl)
• IT/information security
• Network knowledge (TCP/IP, switching, routing, and firewalls in data center environments)
• Monitoring: Nagios/op5
• Experience with: Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, Golang, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, PostgreSQL, Grafana
• Virtualization environments (VMware)
• Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet)
